Q: Why am I being asked to provide verification to remain in the EZ-SAVE Program?

A:  While no proof of income is required to sign up for EZ-SAVE, you may be selected at any time to provide verification of your household income in order to continue receiving the EZ-SAVE discount.

This is to ensure that those benefiting from the EZ-SAVE discount meet the income eligibility criteria.

Q: What happens to my EZ-SAVE discount while LADWP is waiting for my verification document?

A:  Your EZ-SAVE discount will remain active three (3) months from the date of your first EZ-SAVE Verification letter. If we determine that you are ineligible, you will be removed from EZ-SAVE. You will also be removed from EZ-SAVE if you request to cancel your enrollment in EZ-SAVE or if we receive your documents after the due date.

 

Q: How long does it take to process the paperwork I submitted?

A:  Please allow us 30 days processing once we receive your documents.

 

Q: I received a letter indicating I was missing information or documentation. What do I need to do?

A:  Review your letter for the specific information of documentation needed. For best results, collect all documentation needed according to the Verification Instructions, and submit your information by U.S. Mail to:

Q: Can I request an extension to return the required income verification?

A:  Unfortunately, there is no extension or exception to the three (3) month response time. Completed required documents should be returned as soon as possible.

 

Q: My EZ-SAVE discount was removed because I missed the verification due date. Can I reapply?

A:  Yes. If you wish to re-apply for EZ-SAVE, you are required to include proof of income with your EZ-SAVE application. Complete and submit a new EZ-SAVE Program application, including proof of income documentation, online at ladwp.com/EZSAVE or download an application from ladwp.com/EZSAVE and mail the application, with proof of income documentation, to:

Q: I no longer qualify for EZ-SAVE, or I no longer wish to be enrolled in EZ-SAVE. How do I remove myself from EZ-SAVE?

A:  You may notify LADWP at any time that you wish to leave EZ-SAVE. You may use the EZ-SAVE Verification Form to notify LADWP by selecting the Opt out checkbox at the top of the form and then signing the Verification Form. Send the signed form to:

Q: What if I don’t have the listed documents?

A:  LADWP can only accept the documents listed at ladwp.com/EZSAVEVerification. Customers who have been requested to provide verification must submit proof of income documentation, as specified at ladwp.com/EZSAVEVerification within three (3) months of first being asked to submit verification documents to continue to receive the EZ-SAVE discount.

Q: I have an adult temporarily living in the household. Do I submit his or her income documentation?

A:  Yes. Please submit income from all household members earning income in your household.
