California Native Plant Landscaper Certificate Program

The Theodore Payne Foundation promotes proper maintenance of a drought tolerant landscape through a series of classes that teach professionals how to maintain a water-efficient, native plant garden.

Classes were designed with the professional landscaper in mind. Classes are offered in English and Spanish with flexible hours that include nights and weekends. The course was developed by top landscaping experts and covers maintenance of native and California Friendly® plants, irrigation efficiency, garden evaluation, weed and pest management, and more.

Water Efficient Landscape Dual Certification Program

The Metropolitan Water District offers the Water Efficient Landscape Dual Certification Program. This program allows participants to earn two certificates from the national Environmental Protection Agency Water Sense program and continuing education units for existing industry certifications.
