California Water Efficiency Partnership
Over the last 19 years, the LADWP has played a significant role in governance and policy making at the California Water Efficiency Partnership (CALWEP, formerly known as California Urban Water Conservation Council). LADWP staff participate in CALWEP as elected officers on the Board of Directors and as members of programmatic committees.

Water Conservation Potential Study
LADWP conducted a study to assess the potential for additional water savings through various conservation efforts. The results of this study will help guide future programs towards achieving the City’s water conservation goals. Below is a copy of the Executive Report for that study which describes the methodology used and the findings.
Water Loss Audit and Component Analysis
The project examined the efficiency of the water distribution system. It fulfills the requirements of Best Management Practice (BMP) 1.2 in the California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Water Loss Task Force
LADWP formed a Water Loss Task Force comprising over 100 LADWP staff with diverse technical expertise to develop strategies to reduce water losses and increase efficiencies in the water distribution system.
