Demand Response – Power Savers

Enroll and earn up to $145 from LADWP’s Power Savers!

Power Savers is an energy management program for residential and small commercial customers that allows us to remotely adjust your thermostat up to 4 degrees during the high energy-use season. By becoming a participant of the program, you can assist in reducing stress on the grid, earn prepaid cards and contribute to Clean Grid LA efforts in your electricity service area.

June 1, 2025 - October 31, 2025

1pm – 10pm

Length of Adjustment “Event”:

4 hours max

Program Details

  • Events: up to 30 adjustments during the time window
  • Holidays are EXCLUDED
  • Up to one thermostat per household/business

Thermostats will automatically adjust temperatures and go back to their previous setting once the event is over. Events may be preceded by a pre-cool period where your thermostat may be adjusted up to 3 degrees below their setpoint to help ensure you are comfortable throughout the event. You can choose to opt out of the pre-cool or event at any time from your mobile device, web browser, or thermostat.

To participate, you will need an eligible connected or smart thermostat (see list below) configured to your central air conditioning unit and agree to the program requirements section.

Incentive Information

  • Participants will receive a $55 prepaid card (one per household) after being accepted into the program.
  • Participants may also be eligible for an annual participation incentive (one per household), depending on the percentage of their participation in the total demand response events in the season, as defined below:
    • Less than 25% participation is not eligible for an annual participation incentive
    • 25% - 75% participation earns a $40 annual participation incentive
    • Greater than 75% participation earns a $90 annual participation incentive
