Aerial map of Fletcher Pump Station project

Project Description

The Fletcher Pump Station Suction Line is the water supply line to the Fletcher Pump Station. Water is pumped from the suction line and then directed to various water service areas. The existing Fletcher Pump Station Suction Line will be replaced with approximately 760 feet of 48-inch diameter welded steel pipe. This is an important water infrastructure project to increase capacity, improve water quality and system reliability to the local community and the City of Los Angeles.

Construction Information

The pipe will be installed under the sidewalk along Fletcher Drive, beginning at the intersection of Fletcher and Glendale Boulevard, then will enter into LADWP property and connect to the Fletcher Pump Station. This alignment was selected to minimize the impact to the neighborhood and community.

Replacement of the Fletcher Pump Station Suction Line will resume January 2020 till the end of April 2020. Work hours are expected to be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some Saturday work and extended hours may be necessary. Construction will require temporary lane reductions and modifications to the crosswalks. Access to local businesses and the surrounding neighborhood will be maintained throughout construction. No interruptions to water service are expected.
