Charing Cross and Hilgard Bypass Line
LADWP will install approximately 385 feet of 36‐inch diameter water pipeline at Sunset Boulevard and Hilgard Avenue.

Lower Franklin Reservoir No. 2 Floating Cover Replacement
The Lower Franklin Reservoir No. 2 (LFR2) is a major storage facility in the LADWP’s drinking water system. This reservoir is covered by an existing floating cover that was installed in 1989 to maintain water quality by minimizing exposure to the environment. The existing floating cover is reaching the end of its service life. Under this project, the existing floating cover will be replaced and additional modifications to the reservoir’s inlet and outlet facilities will be made to improve reservoir circulation, water quality, and operations and maintenance.

Lucile Pressure Regulator Station Rehabilitation Project
LADWP will upgrade the Lucile Pressure Regulator Station, which is an important part of water infrastructure in the West LA area.

Pershing Drive Recycled Water Pipeline
LADWP will install a new pipe along Pershing Drive, between Imperial Highway and World Way West. This pipe will transport high-quality recycled water from Hyperion Water Treatment Facility to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Pipe Jacking at Crescent Heights Boulevard
LADWP began construction of the Pipe Jacking at Crescent Heights Boulevard, Cashio Street Street to Saturn Street Project (Pipe Jacking Project) in October 2010 and completed the project on March 16, 2012.

LADWP will be adding new circuits to existing underground electric infrastructure that services the Bel Air, Beverly Crest, Westwood, and Holmby Hills communities.

Scattergood Generating Station Units 1 and 2 Green Hydrogen-Ready Modernization Project
This project is necessary to maintain grid resiliency and transmission reliability of the City’s electrical power grid during and after the transition to a carbon-free system.

Scattergood to West L.A. - Sawtelle Modernization
The Scattergood to West LA – Sawtelle (SWLA) Modernization will replace one underground transmission circuit (cable) that runs through sections of West Los Angeles.

Scattergood Unit 3 Decommissioning
The LADWP Scattergood Unit 3 Decommissioning Project is an 18-month dismantling of power plant facilities in compliance with South Coast Air Quality Management District regulations, which require the existing Unit 3 to be fully disabled.

Scattergood-Olympic Transmission Line
LADWP will construct and operate a new 230 kV underground cable system called the Scattergood-Olympic Transmission Line Project (SOTLP). The proposed transmission system will connect the Scattergood Generating Station (Scattergood) in Playa del Rey and Olympic Receiving Station (RS) in West Los Angeles.

Sylmar Ground Return System Replacement Project
LADWP is continually assessing the existing electric grid to provide reliable power to residents and businesses in the city. A key feature of the grid is a high-voltage direct current transmission system, known as the Pacific Direct Current Intertie (PDCI), which transmits bulk power between the Pacific Northwest and the Los Angeles area.
