The Residential EV Charging Station Rebate Program offers customers rebates to help offset the cost of purchasing and installing eligible charging stations for electric vehicles.


How does the program work?

Eligible customers may receive a rebate of up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 (240-volt) charging station and a $250 rebate for the installation of a dedicated EV meter.

In addition, income-eligible customers participating in LADWP's Senior Citizen/Disability Lifeline or EZ-SAVE programs are eligible for an additional $500 rebate.

Who is Eligible?

LADWP account holders (as shown on your LADWP bill) with an active LADWP electric meter on a residential rate plan can apply for a rebate under the program.

Before Applying for the Rebate Program

Please visit our Charger Installation page for more details on service assessments provided by LADWP. It is important customers receive an initial assessment before installing a charger to prevent issues.

Electrical Service for your EV Charging Station

To apply for electrical service for your EV charging station, please complete the Residential EV Charging Station Request form.

How to apply

Customers may submit an application online, or by mail.

Online

  • Customer must log in to their LADWP account. 

  • Requires electronic attachment of all supporting documents. 

  • Legible electronic copies (PDFs) and photographs (JPEG/JPG files) are acceptable. Online session times out after thirty (30) minutes of inactivity. 

Mail

Customer must review and complete all applicable parts of the application. For personal records, customers should make a copy of all documents (including the application) before mailing.
