By participating in the larger Los Angeles City Green Business Certification Program, which is LADWP co-funded and supported, we help enable our customers to assess and maximize opportunities for sustainability and savings. In addition to helping your business reduce energy and water consumption, this program will help reduce solid waste, wastewater, and air pollution through identifying opportunities and best practices.
Some of the benefits of the Green Business Certification Program are:
- Lower environmental impact – Green businesses are identified by consumers as helping to create a cleaner, healthier environment and community. Customers can feel good about their environmental choices because they've chosen you!
- Lower utility and maintenance costs – Using less water and energy means paying less for water and energy bills. Producing less trash can lower your waste pick-up charges and may mean that you buy less materials in the first place.
- Improved brand value – Your Green Certification was independently verified by an independent 3rd party and gives you the right to proudly display the program logo on your property and communications, insuring your green customers can confidently shop at or use your services knowing your company adheres to their values.
- Healthier workplace – According to the Green Business Bureau website, companies that promote a healthier workplace report increase their productivity due to a 20% decrease in the number of sick days used by employees.
