The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has extensive real property holdings throughout the City of Los Angeles and surrounding basin, as well as interests in the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. LADWP also maintains numerous transmission line and aqueduct corridors along with the necessary large distribution systems to provide water and power to the customers of the City of Los Angeles.

The Real Estate Section (Real Estate) is responsible for management of the LADWP’s real property assets. Real Estate conducts the necessary acquisition, disposition, appraisal, and maintenance of records for the property rights needed to maintain and improve LADWP’s water and electric delivery systems and facilities. Those activities also include licensing and leasing of real property to the transmission line rights-of-way for nursery purposes, landscaping purposes, construction staging, truck operations, vehicle parking, recreational vehicles parking, telecommunications, and any other use that LADWP determines to be compatible and acceptable under its secondary land use program.

If you are interested in licensing or leasing LADWP real property, please contact us at RE.Office@ladwp.com or at (213) 367-0564.
