Ordinance 168436, effective as of January 31, 1993, and subsequent amendments approved the rates charged and collected by the Department of Water and Power of the City of Los Angeles for electrical energy distributed and for service supplied to its customers.

LADWP has recently restructured the electric rates to encourage customers to save energy. The restructured electric rates are effective September 19, 2008 for some rate schedules and July 1, 2009 for most rate schedules.
