Water Conservation Initiatives

Given Los Angeles’ arid climate, it is imperative that we take care of our precious water supply. In May 2008, LADWP and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa unveiled “Securing LA’s Water Supply,” a long-term vision for management of future water demand that combines short-term steps to conserve water with long-term investment in water-efficient technology, water recycling, and improvements in the groundwater supply.

Some other recent initiatives include the reinstatement of the Water Conservation Team Program and new cash rebates for water efficient appliances.
