Chiller Efficiency Program
For A Limited Time, Rebates Up To 100% Of The Incremental Cost!
Act quickly to take advantage of increased rebate level.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is offering cash rebates through its Chiller Efficiency Program (CEP). This program is intended to benefit the owners and operators of buildings who use chillers for space conditioning. Let us put our energy to work for you with this exciting program.
Qualifying chillers, purchased, installed and operational on, or after July 1, 2006, are eligible to receive cash rebates. To secure this years rebate rate levels, all chillers must be installed and inspected by LADWP’s Chiller Program staff by May 31, 2007. In addition to receiving the LADWP rebate, the installation of a new chiller will greatly improve the operational efficiency of your building and result in substantial savings over the chiller's operating lifetime.
• Give the LADWP "Chiller Team" a call to arrange a preliminary meeting, or simply complete the Customer Application
• After we receive a completed application, LADWP will issue a quotation letter detailing the amount of your estimated rebate
• When LADWP receives a copy of an executed purchase order for your new chiller, you'll receive an Eligibility Letter reserving your estimated rebate
• After all required documentation is received and approved, LADWP will provide you with a customized Energy Efficiency Agreement detailing information about the chiller, installation schedule, and final rebate amount
• Upon successful installation and start-up, a field inspection will be conducted
Your final rebate will be based on the actual size and the percentage that the chiller’s Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV) exceeds California’s Title 24 Standards. The Non-Standard Part Load Value (NPLV) may be used for Water Cooled Centrifugal Chillers where the cooling tower system performance meets qualifying criteria (additional details are in the chiller section of the application)
The LADWP reserves the right to require a Factory Certified Test for chillier applications. Please check with the Chiller Team for specific testing requirements.
Customer applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. This program shall at all times be subject to change or termination without notice.
